Knit-Along Details:

Four pictures of the Tournesol Shawlette, it is a simple garter stitch shawl with a lovely cabled lace border.

Pattern: Tournesol Shawlette by Allison Bostrom

Yarn requirements: 390 - 430 yards of a fingering weight yarn

Suggested yarn:

  • Mirasol Sulka Legato is a 2 ply fingering weight yarn spun from 60% wool, 20% alpaca, and 20% silk. A shawl knit from this yarn will be soft, squishy, and have a slight halo. To knit the Tournesol Shawlette you will need 2 skeins of Sulka Legato.
  • One of the many indie-dyed skeins of sock yarn in the shop would make a stunning shawl! Come on down to the shop to find one that speaks to you, or take a peek online here.

Crochet-Along details:

Three pictures of the Easy Cake Yarn Shawl. It is a triangle shawl crocheted in a simple lace pattern.

Pattern: Easy Cake Yarn Shawl by Carmen Heffernan

Yarn requirements: 437 - 656 yards of DK weight yarn

Suggested yarn:

  • Berroco Spree is bursting with color! This 56/44 wool/cotton blend combines the breathability of cotton with the warmth and stretch of wool. With this pattern is is very easy to adjust the size of the shawl, for the recommended yardage you will need approximately 3 - 5 balls of Spree.
  • Cascade Pandamonium is a silky-soft summer yarn! It is 55% cotton and 45% bamboo viscose. It will take 2-3 balls of Pandamonium to be within the suggested yardage range.

We hope to see you there!
