Mother's Day KAL/CAL 2024

Hi Fiber Buddies!

It is almost Mother's Day, and we wanted to invite you all to celebrate with us! Join us on Saturday, May 11th, from 1 to 4 pm. We will be celebrating the Mothers in our lives, and starting a small KAL/CAL together. The KAL/CAL will run until June 1st.  The patterns are simple enough that we should be able to finish and wear them by the 2nd!!

For the KAL, we will be knitting the Puaka Shawlette by Francoise Danoy. To knit this airy & elegant shawlette, you will need one skein of fingering weight yarn. Puaka is Māori for flower, and the lace edge is beautifully botanical.

For the CAL, we will be starting the Slow Wave Infinity Scarf by Lucienne Crochet. This cowl was named after the deepest, most restful part of our sleep; as you crochet, feel yourself get into the rhythm and relax. It has a lovely texture and will beautifully show case the yarn you use! It will take 2 skeins or 3 skeins of fingering weight yarn. The scarf is shown worked with 3 colors, but two will work if you alternate two colors.

We have some beautiful hand dyed yarns from Two Springs Fiber Arts and Coven Collective Fiber Arts. Stay tuned because we are about to have a lot of fun picking out color selections for you to consider. This is going to be so much fun for us and our knitters and crocheters who also happen to be moms!
