Spring KAL & CAL

Hi Fiber Buddies! We wanted to make spring tops here at The Hook & Needle Nook, and you are invited to join us! We are planning on starting our tops on February 15th, during our knit group which meets from 1-4pm. You can find us at 1508 North Monroe Street, Spokane, Washington. For the Knit-Along, we have picked the Ranunculus top by Midori Hirose ! This pattern is very popular and highly customizable. You can use it to make anything from a cozy winter sweater to an airy summer top! Many knitters who have made a Ranunculus enjoyed the project so much, they have knit more than one. Glittering Snowscape Shawl - Spokane KAL

Westknits Geogradient MKAL Spokane Meetup

Hi Fiber Buddies! Many of you have probably already seen Two Spring's Fiber Art's beautiful gradient sets for the Westknits Mystery KAL this fall . Since we have had so much interest in this Knit Along, we thought it would be fun to work on the clues together as they are unveiled!  Clue Release Schedule: Clue 1 - Thursday, October 5 Clue 2 - Thursday, October 12 Clue 3 - Thursday, October 19 Clue 4 - Thursday, October 26 Meet here at the shop each clue release day during knit group time (1-4 pm), or through out the week if you need help. Hi Fiber Buddies! We have 2 of the cutest stash busting projects to share with you. These cozy crochet cowls were designed to be made with worsted weight yarn held double, and they can be worn in so many different ways! If you purchase the yarn for these cowls here at the shop, we can give you the pattern for free! You can browse our worsted weight yarn here. Barbie Inspired Infinity Scarf by The Whispering Moss You will need 4 different colors of yarn and approximately 210 yards of each. You can also use this pattern as a stash buster. Use the yarn you have and follow the instructions for color changes wherever your yarn takes you! (Instructions for this are included as well.) As long as you have about 840-900 yards total of yarn, you should be good to go! Find the pattern here on Ravelry. Christmas in July Project Inspiration

  Hello Fiber Buddies!  It is really hot and miserable outside!  Not exactly news, is it?  Don't despair!  The Nook Crew has news about how to stay cool and have some fun too.  We have cooked up a Christmas in July Special that will keep you indoors, cool, and safe.  When it is too hot to go out to shop, everyone shops online.  So we took some of your favorite yarns and put them on special for 15%-20% off.  And we have them all set up for online purchasing just so you don't have to get out in the heat. Here is a list of some of the yarns and some pattern suggestions to get your creative juices flowing.   For some cool, summer fashions, we have our summer yarns on special.  These include Berroco Spree ( click here) , Remix light ( Click here ), and Zinnia ( Click here ). Summer Knit Along

It is time for another knit-along! With summer warming up, it is time to cast on a refreshing cotton top. We picked the Mangrove Tee! It is a cute botanically inspired top that would be perfect for hot weather when knit with cotton, or a good fall/winter tee if you chose to knit it with wool.
